About
Hi, I'm Kim đź’›
Welcome to Joyful Blossom
I make kawaii art for people who feel too much, love too hard, and find wisdom in rom-coms when real life gets heavy.
This shop exists because I needed it to. Not just wanted—needed.
Why I'm Doing This
My mom has severe dementia. Watching her slowly slip away has been one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. Most days she doesn't know who I am anymore.
I quit my job so I could have the flexibility to help my dad care for her while she's still here. I needed work that lets me show up for the people I love. I needed to build a life around what actually matters.
So I'm building this business—creating art about finding joy in the overwhelm, about being beautifully human and imperfect, about the comfort we find in small moments and good movies.
What I've Learned
Life is too short to wait for perfect. Too short to let fear win. Too short to keep your dreams small and safe.
I'm already experiencing deep pain. So what do I have to lose by being brave?
Rom-coms have gotten me through this journey. When real life is watching your mom forget you, there's something healing about watching Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks find each other. About Drew Barrymore getting her second chance. About happy endings that remind us love and joy still exist.
What I Make
Every mug, print, and sticker here is for people navigating their own hard seasons. For caregivers who need reminders to breathe. For overthinkers whose brains never stop. For dreamers who need permission to try. For anyone finding their way through the messy, beautiful chaos of being human.
This isn't just a shop—it's a community for people who understand that life can be overwhelming and hopeful at the same time. That you can hold grief and joy in the same breath. That finding small moments of happiness isn't ignoring the pain—it's surviving it.
Thank You
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting this dream. Every purchase helps me build the life I need to care for my mom while creating something meaningful.
You're not alone here. đź’ś
